About the Role Join Logan Health's Surgical & Med/Surg Oncology Unit as a Registered Nurse (RN), delivering individualized, high-quality care to patients with complex needs in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on quality, compassionate care and ongoing professional development in a dynamic surgical environment. What You'll Do
- Deliver individualized, high-quality nursing care using your clinical knowledge and advanced skills.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage patient care, ensuring safety and top-notch outcomes.
- Provide critical support to patients and their families, guiding them through the recovery process.
- Respond to complex surgical cases, from thoracoscopies and colectomies to Whipple’s procedures and HIPEC. What We're Looking For
- Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.
- BSN degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in similar position within a medical setting preferred.
- Experience in assigned area(s) preferred.
- Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.
- Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR and/or BLS certification required as dictated by each practice/service line.
- Additional certifications may be required as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including HIPAA guidelines.
- Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and instruments used in a medical setting; simple routine clinical laboratory methods; universal precautions.
- OSHA rules and regulations knowledge; ability to handle poisons, narcotics, acids, caustics, and flammable items; manage care carrier restrictions as applicable.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, self-starting, critical thinking, and ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to manage sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed. Nice to Have
