Job title: RN Residency - Specialty Peds
About the Role The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care utilizing the standards of care and the standards of professional performance outlined by the American Nurses Association and the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to promote the optimal health potential of patients and families, delivering competent nursing care based on assessed needs and the hospital mission. The RN fosters a patient- and family-centered experience and acts as a change agent to meet shifting census and care needs.
What You'll Do
- Provide professional nursing care according to ANA and Ohio Board of Nursing standards.
- Interact with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal health for patients and families.
- Deliver care based on documented assessments and hospital mission; promote a patient- and family-experience oriented environment.
- Act as a change agent to meet rapidly changing census and needs of internal and external customers.
- Commit to obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.
- Maintain an Ohio RN license and CPR certification.
- Work across multiple units as a house float, including hematology/oncology, general pediatrics, and floating to ED and perioperative services.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing (Required).
- Licensure & Certification: RN license in Ohio; CPR certification (American Heart Association).
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
