About the Role The RN Residency - Emergency Department provides professional nursing care in the ED as part of Dayton Children's nursing education track. The program emphasizes high-quality, patient- and family-centered care, and supports graduates in obtaining a BSN within five years of hire.
What You'll Do
- Provide professional nursing care utilizing standards of care and professional performance (ANA and Ohio Board of Nursing).
- Interact with an interdisciplinary team to promote the health and well-being of patients and families, delivering care based on a documented assessment.
- Promote a patient- and family-experience oriented environment and act as a change agent to respond to census and evolving needs.
- Participate in the Emergency Department track, delivering urgent and emergent care for acutely ill patients.
- Pursue continued education and development toward BSN per program requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; required Associates-level nursing degree.
- RN license in the state of Ohio (Ohio Board of Nursing).
- Commitment to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within five years of hire.
- CPR certification (American Heart Association).
- Department-specific: ED track supports acute and emergent care; ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment.
- Education Requirements: Associates: Nursing (Required).
