Job title: RN Residency - Critical Care
About the Role Join Dayton Children's as part of the RN Residency - Critical Care track. The RN provides professional nursing care in accordance with ANA and Ohio Board of Nursing standards, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to promote the health and well-being of pediatric patients and their families, and acts as a change agent to meet shifting census and patient needs. This program requires commitment to earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within five years of hire and includes a two-step selection process with a Spark Hire video interview.
What You'll Do
- Provide professional nursing care based on documented assessments and standards of care.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Create a patient- and family-centered environment and advocate for their needs.
- Serve as a change agent to adapt to census fluctuations and evolving care requirements.
- Meet requirements for the RN residency track that includes NICU/PICU/TCU services.
What We're Looking For
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.
- CPR certification (American Heart Association).
- Commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
- Basic ability to manage pediatric critical care needs and collaborate with families and care teams.
