RN | Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

About the Role This RN role provides primary care to adult patients in Logan Health Medical Center’s Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation for high-acuity conditions. The PCU focuses on complex cardiac and related cases, such as heart failure, arrhythmias, post-operative cardiac care, and other critical illnesses. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. What You'll Do

• Provide goal-directed, individualized nursing care using clinical knowledge and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage patient care, ensuring safety and quality.
• Educate patients and families, serving as a vital link between the care team and the patient.
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions, operating in a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio designed for high-acuity care. What We're Looking For
• Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing in Montana.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
• RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care.
• NIHSS must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills; ability to prioritize under pressure and work within a team.
• Commitment to patient care and integrity; stays calm under pressure and is motivated to grow in a supportive environment. Nice to Have
• BSN degree preferred.
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit or high-acuity settings.
• Exposure to advanced procedures and technologies such as TAVR, mitral clips, and other post-operative cardiac interventions. Compensation & Benefits
