About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Concord Hospital's Orthopaedic Surgery Center (OSC) provides safe, evidence-based nursing care for ambulatory surgical and pain management patients across simple to complex multi-system conditions. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.
What You'll Do
- Deliver care according to facility policy and standards of practice.
- Educate patients and families about the plan of care and discharge instructions.
- Prepare patients for discharge and manage care for simple to complex multi-system cases.
- Administer medications safely and effectively.
- Gather data from history and physical assessment to plan and implement interventions.
- Develop, evaluate and revise the patient's plan of care; document progress.
- Direct and supervise others (nursing students, orientees, surgical technologists) in delegated activities.
- Lead the health care team and participate in center activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Associate Degree (AD) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Certification/ Licensure: BCLS and ACLS certifications within 3 months of hire; current New Hampshire RN license.
- Experience: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients, care providers and a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to Have
- Experience in ambulatory surgical and pain management settings.
