Job title: RN-Nursing Professional Development Practitioner
About the Role The RN-Nursing Professional Development Practitioner supports unit- and department-specific education for nursing and allied health staff through formal and informal programs. This role collaborates with Clinical Directors/Managers to ensure onboarding, competency management, skills assessment, and ongoing professional development, while supporting accreditation and regulatory documentation.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver education on unit/department needs for nursing and allied health staff
- Support onboarding, initial and ongoing competency assessment and development; promote career-long professional growth
- Collaborate with Clinical Directors and Clinical Managers and ensure documentation for accreditation and regulatory requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices and educational standards; participate in curriculum design and evaluation
- Assist with regulatory reporting and accreditation activities as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Education: BSN or MSN (required)
- Licensure/Certification: California RN license; American Heart Association BLS
- Additional department-specific certifications required, including ACLS, NRP, CNOR, PALS, CPAN, STABLE, and NRP/Fetal Monitoring as applicable
- Experience: Three (3) years of nursing experience in an acute hospital or ambulatory care setting
- Preferred: Certification in Nursing Professional Development; clinical specialty; experience as clinical leader/charge nurse or preceptor
Compensation & Benefits

- Salary range: $53.00 - $82.08 per hour
- Hours: 40 per week; Shift: Day; Schedule: Full Time
