About the Role Logan Health Children's is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join their compassionate team on the night shift in Kalispell, Montana. Our facility features a cutting-edge 12-bed, Level III NICU dedicated to providing exceptional care for newborns and support for families. What You'll Do

  • Develops, implements and coordinates individualized, goal-directed nursing care for NICU patients using the nursing process as applicable.
  • Transcribes and implements provider orders (verbal and written) accurately and efficiently; monitors patient conditions and responds to changes.
  • Maintains infection control procedures and patient confidentiality in accordance with policy and HIPAA.
  • Documents encounters and educates patients and families about health needs per department protocol.
  • Assesses patient needs, anticipates interventions, and coordinates care with provider orders; communicates effectively with the care team.
  • Demonstrates organization, critical thinking, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. What We're Looking For
  • Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing in Montana (required).
  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position preferred; new graduates will not be considered (RN Residency Program available).
  • RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care; NRP must be obtained within 6 months; STABLE must be obtained within 1 year.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, HIPAA guidelines, and confidentiality; familiarity with OSHA rules and safety practices.
  • Adequate knowledge of equipment, supplies, and clinical laboratory methods; ability to store poisons, narcotics, acids, caustics, and flammable items per protocol and payer restrictions.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage sensitive situations with tact and professionalism; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Compensation & Benefits
