About the Role The Registered Nurse (RN) 2 at Concord Hospital is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a group of population-specific patients in the Med/Surg unit, delivering care in a safe and therapeutic environment. The RN applies growth and development principles across the life span and works collaboratively with patients, families and the health care team to meet age-specific needs. What You'll Do
- Gather data through history taking and physical assessment; interpret data to plan and implement patient-centered interventions
- Develop, evaluate and revise the patient plan of care and nursing actions in response to changing needs
- Document care and patient progress toward outcomes; administer medications and provide direct patient care
- Direct and supervise others in delegated nursing activities; teach patients and families about the plan of care
- Prepare patients to manage care after discharge, transfer or procedures; manage time and resources to deliver care
- Lead the health care team and serve as a resource for the assigned shift; precept new employees
- Perform job-specific duties and other tasks as assigned What We're Looking For
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire and Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
- One year of clinical nursing experience; ability to work effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary team
- Experience as a team member; capability to supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and unlicensed personnel as needed
- Strong clinical judgment, communication and patient care skills Nice to Have
