About the Role RN II provides direct patient care and collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team to deliver high-quality health care services to the patient population. The role includes assessing patient needs, planning, implementing and evaluating care, with leadership and professional accountability aligned with hospital philosophy and standards.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care and coordinate with patients, families, and the health care team in the Surgery Main department.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership, accountability and commitment to professional growth.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure safe, effective care.
What We're Looking For
- Education: BSN or MSN or enrollment in RN-BSN/RN-MSN program within one year of hire; completion within five years of hire if hired after July 1, 2012.
- Licensure/Certification: California RN licensure; BLS from AHA required in all departments upon hire.
- Additional certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring; STABLE as applicable; per-unit certification requirements may apply (e.g., ED, ICU, LDRP, Perianesthesia, Cardiac Cath Lab, etc.).
- Pediatric RNs: Medical Surgical 4E required within 180 days; Neonatal/Neonatal ICU certifications where applicable.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $43.59 - $69.36 per hour; Hours: 40/week; Shift: Day; Full Time.
- Sign-On Bonus Eligible.
