About this role

About the Role Registered Nurse in the Family Birth Center, working full-time nights as a Nurse Resident. Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, you will apply the nursing process to patient care, teach patients and significant others, document care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care. What You'll Do

  • Apply the nursing process within the RN scope of practice to the care of patients in the Family Birth Center.
  • Teach patients and significant others about care plans and procedures.
  • Document patient care in the medical record and ensure accurate charting.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.
  • Maintain professional standards and comply with safety and infection control policies. What We're Looking For
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; strong problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Flexible, able to prioritize and adapt to changing patient and unit needs.
  • Effective teaching skills and ability to educate patients and families.
  • Proficient with computer use and electronic medical record systems.
  • Regular, punctual attendance.
  • Recent acute care hospital experience preferred. Nice to Have
  • Acute care hospital experience within past 5 years (preferred). Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $47.82 - $71.26 per hour (minimum to maximum) depending on experience.
