Job title: RN | Float Pool | Per Diem | Laconia/Franklin
About the Role Concord Hospital - Laconia is seeking experienced RNs to join our RN Float Team. The float pool provides opportunities to apply diverse clinical skills across medical/surgical and critical care units and to further develop expertise in acute care settings.
What You'll Do
- Base nursing actions by applying purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgments/decisions.
- Gather data through history taking and physical assessment and interpret data to plan and implement interventions.
- Develop, evaluate and revise patient's plan of care and nursing actions in response to patient needs.
- Document care provided and patient's progress toward attainment of desired outcomes.
- Direct and supervise others in the performance of delegated nursing activities.
- Teach the patient and/or significant other about the plan of care.
- Prepare patients to manage their care after discharge, transfer or pre-procedure/test.
- Manage time and resources to deliver patient care.
- Administer medications.
- Provide direct patient care.
- Lead the health care team; serve as a resource person for the assigned shift.
- Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
- Perform job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
- Per Diem requirement: minimum 24 clinical hours every 4 weeks with at least 1 weekend shift and at least 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday or difficult-to-fill shift around the observed holidays.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: RN – New Hampshire Board of Nursing; BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Experience: One year of clinical nursing experience; ability to work effectively with patients, care providers and the multi-disciplinary team.
- Skills: Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to adapt across units.
Nice to Have
- Float pool or multi-unit experience; willingness to work in varied units.
- Preceptor or onboarding experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Per diem/part-time schedule; compensation not disclosed in posting. Includes minimum 24 hours every 4 weeks with required weekend/holiday coverage.
