About the Role Concord Hospital - Laconia is seeking experienced RNs to join our RN Float Team. The float team offers the opportunity to use diverse clinical skills across multiple acute care settings, including medical/surgical and critical care units, to broaden expertise. What You'll Do
- Apply principles of purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgments and decisions.
- Gather data through history taking and physical assessment, interpret data to plan and implement interventions meeting patient care needs.
- Develop, evaluate and revise the patient's plan of care and nursing actions in response to changing patient needs.
- Document care provided and patient progress toward desired outcomes.
- Direct and supervise others in the performance of delegated nursing activities.
- Teach the patient and/or significant others about the plan of care.
- Prepare patients to manage care after discharge, transfer, or before procedures/tests.
- Manage time and resources to deliver patient care.
- Administer medications to patients.
- Provide direct patient care and lead the health care team.
- Serve as a Resource Person for the assigned shift.
- Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
- Perform job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire (NH Board of Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- One year of clinical nursing experience.
- Evidence of the ability to work effectively with patients, care providers, and the multi-disciplinary team; ability to function as a team member. Nice to Have
- Experience in medical/surgical or critical care units (float pool exposure).
