Job title: RN Float Pool- Med/Surg-PT- Nights
About the Role Concord Hospital is seeking experienced RNs to join our RN Premium Float Team. The float team provides the opportunity to apply diverse clinical skills across a variety of acute care settings. This position exposes you to medical/surgical and critical care units and offers a chance to further develop your skill base.
What You'll Do
- Bases nursing actions by applying principles of purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgment/decisions.
- Gathers data through history taking and physical assessment and interprets data in order to plan and implement interventions to meet patient care needs.
- Develops, evaluates and revises patient's plan of care and nursing actions in response to patient's needs.
- Documents care provided and patient's progress toward attainment of desired outcomes.
- Directs and supervises others in the performance of delegated nursing activities.
- Teaches the patient and/or significant other(s) about the plan of care.
- Prepares patients to manage their care after discharge, transfer or preparation for procedure/test.
- Manages time and resources to deliver patient care.
- Administers medications to patients.
- Provides direct patient care.
- Leads the health care team.
- Serves as a Resource Person for assigned shift.
- Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
- Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- One year of clinical nursing experience; evidence of ability to work effectively with patients, care providers and the multidisciplinary team and to function as a team member.
Nice to Have
- BSN preferred.
