About the Role Baker Tilly is seeking a Risk Advisory Services Managing Director to lead the national Risk Advisory practice. This role focuses on strategy, client service, and growth, providing leadership across risk, governance, internal audit, compliance, IT, and cybersecurity. It offers an ownership-oriented opportunity to shape services and outcomes for clients. What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership, management and strategic direction with a focus on client service and team development, while driving financial success.
  • Translate firm vision into actionable business plans with clear objectives and progress tracking.
  • Partner with marketing to develop sales plans and pursue expansion within existing clients and new business; lead proposals.
  • Coordinate resources to deliver best-in-class services; ensure meaningful training and development and timely feedback.
  • Oversee profitability, utilization, rates, and collections; work with client executives to understand risks and manage technology-related risks.
  • Develop deep knowledge of client businesses and industries; interact directly with clients on multiple engagement aspects.
  • Identify and pursue risk advisory opportunities; contribute to winning new business and producing executive summaries and client-facing reports.
  • Assess and optimize risk across operational audit, ERM, and SOX compliance; identify gaps and communicate recommendations.
  • Lead and mentor teams, ensuring high-quality work papers and documentation per industry standards. What We're Looking For
  • Strong leadership and management experience in risk advisory or related fields; deep knowledge of risk, governance, internal audit, compliance, IT, and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to translate client operations into strategic recommendations and process improvements.
  • Proven track record of business development, pursuing, sourcing, and winning risk advisory opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with client executives and management.
