Job title: RFQ Engineer - Complete Seats
About the Role Core member of the RFQ team for complete seats design and main contact for CFTs to work on complete seats JIT RFQ. Manages interpretation of customer specifications and organizes bid information to support rapid and accurate responses.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret customer specifications/RFQ packs and distribute requirements to component designers (plastics, foams, wire harness, etc.).
- Track ongoing RFQ bidding rounds, review and systematically organize bid documents.
- Sort information within documents and make it accessible to the cross-functional team (CFT).
- Integrate complete seat components and requirements; lead discussions on packaging concepts with customers.
- Work hands-on with CATIA V5 assembly and kinematics module.
- Operate independently with data management systems (customer and internal) and internal release systems during RFQ phase and beyond.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge and experience in automotive complete seat design, development, and assembly.
- Experience with seat components and CAD designing using CATIA V5 (3D and 2D).
- GD&T proficiency; basic knowledge of design calculations for static and dynamic loads, deformation, pressure, mechanism travel, and effort calculation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- 5 to 9 years of professional experience in automobile-related industries, preferably in automotive seat systems, after university graduation in an engineering degree.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data management systems and internal release systems during RFQ phases.
- Strong coordination and cross-functional collaboration abilities across plastics, foams, and wire harness domains.
