About the Role Silvus is seeking a RF Design Engineer to join the RF Engineering team to develop the RF subsystem for Silvus’ StreamCaster MANET product line. The successful individual will actively participate in the design process to create robust RF components and subsystems. This position is 100% onsite at our office in Rancho Bernardo/North San Diego, CA, reporting to the Director of RF Engineering. What You'll Do
- Antenna to baseband RF subsystem design using discrete circuitry or highly integrated RFICs (PLL, LNA, mixers, PA, etc.).
- Implement or supervise schematic capture and PCB layout.
- RF performance characterization, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure overall EMI performance and compliance with emission and immunity regulations.
- Troubleshoot RF-related production yield problems.
- Improve design for manufacturability.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
- Travel: Rare local travel as required (e.g., Irvine, West LA). What We're Looking For
- Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of multi-GHz RF hardware development experience.
- Strong working knowledge of RF board layout, fabrication, and packaging.
- Hands-on experience solving EMI, harmonics, spurious, and stability issues.
- Experience using RF simulation tools (AWR Microwave Office, Altium).
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- Willingness to undergo background check and drug test.

- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.

- Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year.
