This is a full-time, drafter role for a interior and building design studio located in Wynnum, QLD. The drafter will be tasked with drafting residential plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the design team, and ensuring all design outputs meet client expectations and project goals.

What You'll Do

You'll be the kind of person who:

• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for residential projects using REVIT.

• Assist in developing construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant building codes and council requirements.

• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from senior staff, designers, engineers, or clients.

• Maintain drawing files, project records, and documentation in accordance with office standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drawings align with project timelines and quality standards.

• Stay updated with residential building code changes, drafting standards, and technical requirements.

Requirements

What You Bring:

We're looking for someone who:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Interior Design is preferred.

• 3+ years of experience in residential drafting or architectural documentation.

• Proficiency in REVIT for residential design and documentation.

• Strong understanding of residential building codes, construction methods, and documentation standards.

• Ability to produce accurate drawings with strong attention to detail and consistency.

• Effective communication skills for coordinating with designers, engineers, and project teams.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple revisions and deadlines.

• Ability to interpret design concepts and translate them into clear technical documentation.
