About the Role
Columbia Sportswear's Retail Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership Team and oversees the day-to-day operations in an assigned area, guiding a diverse group of associates to deliver memorable customer experiences and support the company’s mission of Connecting Active People with Their Passions.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the day-to-day work of associate-level staff and ensure efficient in-store operations and proper store procedures to support the overall customer experience.
- Provide direction, training, and coaching to associates to develop skills and maintain high standards.
- Supervise an assigned department, focusing on profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing inventory.
- Create and maintain store culture through teamwork and coaching, leading by example.
- Collaborate with the store leadership team on policies, procedures, and standards for assigned areas.
- Maintain company standards and policies; ensure employees adhere to procedures and quality standards, and help resolve problems or errors.
What We're Looking For
- No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in the position or a related specialization.
- Skill operating a Point of Sale (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone.
- Effective communication skills; able to exchange ideas and information with the store leadership team, associates, and customers.
