About the Role Dr. Martens is seeking a Store Manager to lead our Walnut Street store in Philadelphia. You’ll drive great customer service, grow sales, and manage overall store performance, while developing your team and bringing the Dr. Martens brand to life in the Americas. What You'll Do
- Lead, motivate, and develop the store team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Build on retail standards and KPIs to grow sales and brand loyalty.
- Exceed sales and profitability budgets; maintain controllable costs to meet ROS and payroll goals.
- Develop business strategies to increase store traffic and profitability.
- Manage all HR aspects: recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining top talent.
- Proactively handle inventory control and accurate inventory tracking.
- Share input on product orders, buying trends, customer needs, and inventory levels; review stock levels regularly to drive sales.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards and store branding are consistently applied.
- Identify and implement local advertising and store promotions with Brand Marketing.
- Create schedules to meet business needs and ensure accurate timekeeping. What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of retail management experience, preferably in footwear and/or apparel.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience managing staff, scheduling, performance assessment, and professional development.
- Thorough knowledge of retail merchandising and operations.
- Proficiency with MS Office, retail/Register systems, web-based programs, and inventory systems; MPOS and StoreForce experience a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Nice to Have
