Retail Sales Supervisor

Our client is a large distribution conglomerate with more than 3000+ trade partners across the country. They specialize in the distribution and sales of electronic products, tires, chemicals, Inverter e.t.c Due to expansion they need a Retail Sales Supervisor

Job Summary: is seeking a proactive and target-driven Retail Sales Supervisor to supervise the retail sales team and support the smooth operation of its showroom in Ajah, Lagos.

Location: Ajah, Lagos

Responsibilities

• •Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of retail sales officers.

• •Monitor individual and team sales performance against assigned targets.

• •Support the Showroom Manager in developing strategies to improve sales

• performance.

• •Ensure sales officers actively engage customers and provide appropriate product

• recommendations.

• •Monitor customer interactions and ensure high standards of customer service are

• maintained.

• •Assist customers with product selection by explaining product features, specifications

• and benefits.

• •Encourage upselling and cross-selling of relevant products.

• •Monitor showroom presentation and ensure products are properly displayed and

• priced.

• •Ensure showroom cleanliness and organization are maintained.

• •Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.

• •Assist with stock counts and inventory reconciliation.

• •Address customer complaints professionally and escalate complex issues where

• necessary.

• •Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, appearance and general conduct.

• •Coach and support sales officers on product knowledge and selling techniques.

• •Prepare or contribute to daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.

• •Monitor competitor activities and customer feedback and communicate relevant

• information to management.

• •Support promotional activities designed to increase showroom traffic and sales.

• •Ensure compliance with company policies and showroom procedures.

• •Support the Showroom Manager in achieving overall showroom targets.

• •Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• •HND/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management

• or a related discipline.

• •2–3 years’ experience in retail sales, sales supervision or a similar role.

• •Previous experience supervising or leading a sales team is preferred.

• •Proven ability to work with sales targets.

• •Experience in electronics, home appliances, consumer goods or related retail

• businesses will be an advantage.

• •Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• •Good leadership and supervisory abilities.

• •Strong customer-service orientation.

• •Good negotiation and selling skills.

• •Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• •Basic knowledge of inventory management and POS systems.

• •Proficiency in Microsoft Office is an advantage.

• •Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

• •Professional and presentable appearance.

• •Candidates who reside within reasonable commuting distance of Ajah, Lagos are

• preferred.
