About the Role Retail Sales Associates ensure our retail stores operate smoothly and provide exemplary customer service, using proper product knowledge and selling techniques. They positively represent the New Balance brand and support customers through every step of the transaction. This role is focused on delivering a welcoming, well-organized in-store experience at Walnut Creek. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service using proper selling techniques, product knowledge, and the GUEST service model
- Greet customers, understand their needs, and educate them on product features and benefits
- Solve customer questions and complete transactions through suggestive and multiple selling and effective closing
- Correctly measure and fit customers with appropriate NB product; inform customers about current promotions
- Keep the sales floor neat, organized, and well stocked; ensure items are labeled and correctly priced
- Protect products by greeting customers, attaching/detaching security tags, monitoring floor merchandise, and reporting shrinkage or security issues
- Follow safety regulations, including proper lifting procedures and timely reporting of accidents and near misses What We're Looking For
- Must be 18 years of age or older; must be a people person
- Past retail experience preferred, but not required; strong customer service and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment; familiarity with cash register functions
- Ability to perform basic math quickly; flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift 4 lbs frequently, up to 8 lbs occasionally; move boxes up to 50 lbs with assistance; stand for extended periods; climb ladders and stairs as needed
- Location: Broadway Plaza, CA (Retail Only) Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $16.90 - $23.60 hourly (base pay varies based on experience, time in role, internal equity, and location)
