Retail Sales Associate

About the Role The Retail Sales Associate supports smooth store operations and delivers exemplary customer service. They use product knowledge and selling techniques to assist customers throughout the transaction and positively represent the New Balance brand. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques, product knowledge, and the GUEST service model: greet customers, identify needs, educate on features/benefits, resolve questions, and close sales.
• Transact sales through suggestive/multiple selling and effective closing, and correctly measure and fit customers with appropriate NB product.
• Inform customers about ongoing promotions and ensure the floor is neat, organized, well stocked, labeled and price marked.
• Protect products by tagging/untagging security tags, monitor floor merchandise, report shrinkage and security violations, and follow safety regulations (lifting, accidents reporting).
• Maintain a safe and welcoming store environment; stand for extended periods and assist with occasional ladders as needed. What We're Looking For
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Should be a people person with strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Past retail experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions and basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Physical requirements: lift 4 lbs frequently; lift maximum 8 lbs occasionally; kneel or squat frequently; move boxes of product up to 50 lbs (with assistance if necessary); stand for extended periods of time; climb ladders occasionally; climb and descend stairs frequently (depending on location). Compensation & Benefits
• Pay Range: $13.40 - $16.80 - $20.15 Hourly. (actual base pay varies based on experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
