About the Role Join Western National Parks as a Full-Time Retail Park Store Associate, supporting daily operations at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in Ajo, AZ. The park store extends the national park experience and funds education, research, and community engagement across 71 national park units. You will help deliver excellent customer service, manage sales, inventory, merchandising, and collaborate with park partners to create memorable visitor experiences.

What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day retail store operations.
• Provide excellent visitor and customer service.
• Complete sales transactions.
• Assist retail managers with inventory, receiving, stocking, cleaning, organizing, and merchandising.
• Maintain clean and effective product merchandising and communicate educational value to visitors.
• Assist with special events, after normal business hours and on weekends.
• Help conduct physical inventory cycles and year-end counts.
• Act as an ambassador of WNP and the NPS to ensure park visitors have meaningful experiences.

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED required—unless currently a high school student.
• Prior retail and POS experience (preferred).
• Valid REAL ID driver’s license.
• Computer skills including Internet, databases, and MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of office equipment including computers, printers, calculators, multiline phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and dollies.
• Strong planning, organization, analytical/problem-solving, multitasking, and communication abilities.
• Ability to pass NPS background check and Western National Parks independent employment background screening.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting or coordinating events, including after-hours or weekend activities.
• Passion for national parks and nonprofit work.

• Salary: $15.45 – $16.20 per hour.
