About the Role Backcountry Gearhead (Sales Associate) role to assist customers, drive sales, and provide gear guidance in our retail environment. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional service and help customers select the right outdoor gear and apparel. What You'll Do
- Greet and assist customers with purchases
- Provide product information, advice, and recommendations
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized store and restock merchandise
- Manage inventory levels and participate in promotions
- Collaborate with marketing and buying teams to align product offerings with customer needs
- Build knowledge of products, industry trends, and competitors; specialized knowledge in skiing, snowboarding, biking, climbing, fly fishing, or other outdoor sports is a plus What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- Previous retail sales experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Passion for outdoor activities and knowledge of outdoor gear
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Nice to Have
- Outdoor activity specialization and hands-on gear knowledge

- Salary: $18-$20 per hour (hourly)
