Job title: Retail Associate
About the Role The Retail Associate will be a brand ambassador in our Pottstown, PA store, delivering exceptional in-store experiences and assisting customers with product questions, recommendations, and checkout. This role supports store leadership in executing visual merchandising, product availability, and efficient operations to drive the Columbia Sportswear brand experience.
What You'll Do
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to questions about product features, benefits, and availability; engage with customers to understand needs and preferences, demonstrate and explain merchandise, and suggest suitable options.
- Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety; retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
- Perform all required cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, and connecting customers to loyalty program) efficiently and accurately.
- Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing incoming and outgoing product flow in the stores accurately and efficiently.
- Operate Inventory and POS systems and other retail software tools.
What We're Looking For
- No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
- 2 or fewer years of experience in a position or specialization.
- Skills operating Inventory and POS systems, and various other retail software tools.
- 16 years of age or older.
