About the Role The Retail Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in achieving sales goals and managing store operations. This role also helps hire, train, and develop staff and steps in to run the store in the Store Manager’s absence. What You'll Do
- Create and maintain a "Total Customer Satisfaction" culture across the store
- Help your Store Manager hit financial targets and operational objectives
- Collaborate with the Store Manager and District Manager to execute strategic sales plans
- Be a leader; coach and develop your staff; their success = your success
- Help coordinate volunteer opportunities to build the New Balance brand within the communities we serve
- Assist with processing payroll and creating schedules for store associates
- Step up to lead the team when the Store Manager is unavailable What We're Looking For
- Must be 18 years or older; 2 years of retail experience (some stores in higher volume areas may require more)
- Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention
- Demonstrated ability to lead and be part of a team
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 4 lbs constantly; up to 8 lbs occasionally; kneel or squat frequently; move boxes up to 50 lbs with assistance; stand for extended periods; climb ladders occasionally; and frequently climb/descend stairs Nice to Have
- B.A. in Business Administration or a related field is preferred Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $22.70 - $28.40 - $34.05 hourly
