About the job
This is DNB’s first dedicated Retail Account Specialist - a ground-floor role with direct visibility to the Chief Commercial Officer and meaningful impact on how we grow in retail. You’ll own the day-to-day management of our existing retail accounts and play a supporting role in expanding our channel footprint into specialty retail and new markets, including international expansion.
What You’ll Own
- Day-to-day ownership of multiple wholesale accounts, including managing each vendor-specific retailer portal
- Own day-to-day operational relationships below the merchant level, proactively collaborating with replenishment and planning teams to streamline order management and mitigate supply chain disruptions
Order, Replenishment & Inventory Tracking
- PO lifecycle management - receipt, acknowledgment, ship-window compliance, short-ship and cancellation tracking
- Shipping and routing coordination with 3PL - routing guide compliance, ASN accuracy, appointment scheduling
- Monitor in-stock rates and inventory positions across all retail accounts
- Coordinate wholesale order execution from initial retailer EDI receipt through to 3PL Warehouse
Management System (WMS) fulfillment and delivery tracking.
- Partner with operations to align purchase orders with demand signals and retail forecasts
- Channel Planning Support & Execution
- Item setup and data maintenance across retailer portals
- Support and manage a high-impact retail calendar spanning: seasonal initiatives, price levers, and retailer-specific events - utilizing historical performance data to help forecast lift and secure optimal merchandising support
- Coordinate with marketing on in-store and online retailer content needs
- Manage chargeback resolution proactively and track compliance metrics
Performance Reporting
- Track and report sell-through velocity, weeks of supply, and account-level revenue on a regular cadence
- Proactively identify and escalate account risks and commercial opportunities to the CCO, pairing data-backed insights with decisive, clear-cut recommendations to protect and grow business revenue
- Present data-driven performance updates to executive leadership, moving past historical reporting to deliver forward-looking action plans regarding account health, risks, and expansion opportunities
Channel Expansion Support
- Assist with new specialty retail account expansion aligned with DNB’s product positioning
- Help coordinate early-stage outreach and sell-in for retail expansion
- Support line review preparation with sell-through data, competitive context, and growth proposals
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- You’ve fully absorbed day-to-day management of all active retail accounts
- PO management is owned and details like chargeback exposure are actively managed down
- You’ve established a reporting rhythm that gives leadership clear weekly and monthly visibility into retail health
Who You Are
Required
- 2–4 years of brand-side or broker retail account support experience, with exposure to mass retail
- Hands-on experience with national retailer portals like Target Partner Online and/or Walmart Retail Link
- Comfortable working with EDI. SPS Commerce experience is a meaningful plus
- Strong analytical instincts: you know how to read sell-through, velocity, and inventory data and turn it into a story
- Highly organized and self-directed. You don’t need hand-holding to manage a retail calendar or hit a deadline
- Clear, confident communicator - with buyers, internal stakeholders, and operational partners
Preferred
- Background in CPG, baby, or consumer health categories
- Experience supporting or leading line review preparations
- Exposure to specialty or FSA/HSA retail channels
- Comfort working in a lean, fast-moving, startup environment — where you build the process, not just follow it
