About the Role Habitat for Humanity Portland Region is seeking a part-time ReStore Associate to support day-to-day retail and donation operations in our Portland ReStore. You’ll work with staff and volunteers to deliver customer service, process donations, and help keep the store safe, clean, and organized, in alignment with our mission. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service excellence: greet customers, assist with questions, and cashier.
- Greet donors, inspect donations for our criteria, and decline items that don’t meet criteria.
- Guide volunteers to ensure tasks are completed under leadership direction.
- Process and price donations; stock merchandise on the sales floor.
- Clean and organize the store, receiving areas, break rooms, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Assist donation pickup drivers with residential and business pickups as needed; may be included in weekly schedule.
- Support other ReStore locations as needed. What We're Looking For
- One year of customer service experience.
- Ability to work in a team with staff and volunteers, following the lead and direction of leadership.
- Ability and desire to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Time management skills, including managing donation flow urgency and timely arrival for shifts.
- Ability or willingness to learn to correctly and safely use tools and equipment, such as a forklift, pallet jack, and dolly.
- Knowledge of safety requirements and the ability to ensure store team members do the same.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn communication tools, such as telephone, email, and 2-way radio.
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment, and learn new operations skills as the program develops.
- Any combination of formal education, paid work experience, unpaid/volunteer experience, and life experience will be considered. Nice to Have

- Salary: $17.34/hour to $20.61/hour
