About the Role
A Restorative Aide at Brendan House (part of Logan Health) provides restorative nursing activities under supervision to help residents maintain independence, mobility, and quality of life. You will work with nursing and therapy teams to implement programs that build strength and engagement in daily routines. What You'll Do
- Assisting residents with walking, range-of-motion exercises, transfers, positioning, and other restorative care activities
- Supporting residents with activities of daily living while encouraging independence whenever possible
- Following individualized restorative care plans as directed by nursing and therapy staff
- Documenting resident participation, progress, and any changes or concerns
- Communicating with nurses, therapists, and care team members to help ensure continuity of care
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment for residents
- Building trusting relationships with residents and supporting their dignity, comfort, and quality of life What We're Looking For
- Patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoys working with older adults and residents in a skilled nursing setting
- The ideal candidate is encouraging, attentive, and able to motivate residents while providing compassionate care
- Current CNA certification preferred/required depending on facility requirements
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or direct patient care preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing and therapy teams
