About this role

About the Role The Restaurant Supervisor will lead service and operations for the José Andrés Group restaurant in Culver City, delivering efficient operations and exceptional hospitality. You will own the floor during shifts, coach hourly team members, and ensure brand standards from opening to closing. What You'll Do

  • Lead service & standards as floor leader and Manager-on-Duty during assigned shifts.
  • Deploy stations, set pacing, direct line flow, manage wait times, and assist on the service line during peaks.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings that set expectations, service goals, and menu knowledge highlights.
  • Handle escalations and guest recovery with empathy, ownership, and sound judgment.
  • Uphold all SOPs and steps of service; use guest feedback, mystery shop reports, and manager logs to reinforce consistency.
  • Monitor sections, ticket times, and service cadence; adjust staffing or support where needed to protect standards.
  • Opening & Closing: execute opening procedures, secure cash, deposits, checklists, and ensure shutdown per policy.
  • Audit side work completion daily; ensure transitions between shifts are clean and organized.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and support training for new hires; coach and develop team members.
  • Maintain DOH compliance, allergy protocols, and safe alcohol service; communicate clearly with guests and BOH teams.
  • Monitor cleanliness of dining room, restrooms, host areas, and service stations; report facilities issues.
  • Maintain strong communication via manager logs and notes; lead with accountability and guest focus. What We're Looking For
  • 1+ year of restaurant supervision experience; 1+ year in fast casual or full-service environments.
  • Ability to lead a team during high-volume periods; strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of service standards, sanitation/health codes, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Proven ability to coach, train, and evaluate team members fairly.
  • Basic P&L literacy regarding labor, cash handling, and inventory.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Google Workspace.
  • Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays. Nice to Have
  • Experience with DOH compliance and allergy protocols.
  • Experience in a high-volume, brand-driven hospitality environment. Compensation & Benefits
