Job Summary
- The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient staff management, food quality, cost control, and overall business performance.
- The successful candidate will maintain operational standards, supervise team members, manage inventory, and ensure a positive dining experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to operational standards.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, floor supervisors, servers, and other restaurant employees.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, hygiene, and compliance with food safety requirements.
- Manage inventory, stock levels, purchasing, and wastage to minimise unnecessary costs.
- Monitor sales, expenses, cash handling, and daily operational reports.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints professionally.
- Prepare staff schedules, monitor attendance, and ensure adequate staffing across shifts.
- Enforce company policies, operational procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales, customer retention, and operational efficiency.
- Submit regular reports on sales, inventory, staffing, customer feedback, and operational challenges.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Daily operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
- Food cost, inventory accuracy, and wastage control.
- Staff attendance, productivity, and compliance with standards.
- Sales performance against agreed targets.
- Compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Accuracy and timely submission of operational reports.
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant restaurant or hospitality management experience.
- Demonstrated experience supervising restaurant teams and managing daily operations.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, inventory control, and cost management.
- Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory records, and basic sales reporting.
Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 monthly.
