Job title: Restaurant Manager
About the Role This position acts as the right-hand to the GM, stepping in for the GM as needed and supporting restaurant operations, guest satisfaction, and team development. The Manager leads by example in service methods, helps drive budget targets, and mentors Shift Leaders toward GM readiness.
What You'll Do
- Support all restaurant operations and conditions to ensure the quality of the product and customer service. This includes overseeing Team Member performance, food and labor costs, budget and sales building, equipment maintenance, food/beverage preparation, storage, inventory, presentation, service, vendor invoices and the ordering system, manager log entries, and cash/POS accuracy and security.
- Communicate with Team Members, guests, vendors and Hielan personnel for various needs.
- Act as Kitchen Manager for the Hielan area in the GM's absence (or as approved by the Area Director and RVP).
- Maintain safe food handling procedures to ensure compliance with local health standards and Steritech readiness.
- Understand and contribute to the Quarterly Business Plan with the GM, developing ideas and tactics to reach targets.
- Demonstrate Hielan's Service 101 and P.A.C.E., modeling these management practices and holding the team accountable.
- Drive the restaurant toward budget targets each shift and follow operational systems, including the Manager Timeline and quality Line Checks.
- Work toward GM readiness through the Hielan Manager Career Development plan; assist in hiring decisions, promotions, raises, and coaching.
- Train and mentor hourly team members and maintain training standards through the trainer/training team.
- Support inventory counts and reconciliation with the GM and provide recommendations within budget.
- Be a vocal, guest-focused leader on every shift; may fill in as a food server, expo, line cook, Service Assistant, or food runner when needed.

- Capability to work with the Quarterly Business Plan, Service 101, and P.A.C.E.; a role model in management practices and accountability.
- Ability to influence restaurant performance toward budget targets and maintain adherence to systems and checks.
- Commitment to coaching, mentoring, and developing managers and shift leaders.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year. Benefits may vary by location.
