Restaurant Cashier
Overview
A trustworthy and detail-oriented Cashier is needed to handle customer payments, maintain accurate sales records and support front-of-house operations at a restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja.
Key Responsibilities
- Process cash, bank transfers, card and other approved payments.
- Verify electronic payment confirmations and issue receipts.
- Record sales and maintain accurate payment records.
- Balance cash and reconcile daily sales at the end of each shift.
- Prepare sales summaries and report discrepancies.
- Provide courteous customer service and respond to payment enquiries.
- Coordinate with restaurant staff on orders and bills.
- Maintain a clean and secure cashier station and protect financial information.
Requirements
- HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous cashier or payment-handling experience, preferably in hospitality.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and sales reporting.
- Familiarity with POS systems and electronic payment methods.
- Strong numerical, reconciliation and record-keeping skills.
- Honesty, integrity, attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
