Job title: Responsable Ingénierie - Laboratoire électrique et matériaux (F/H)

About the Role Within our engineering department, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of five people working on electrical insulation systems, metallic and non-metallic materials, welding, corrosion protection of rotating machinery and their components. In this capacity, you contribute to the development, qualification, reliability, and continuous improvement of technologies and solutions implemented on our high-power electric motors, in line with the company's strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Define the roadmap of your service, including actions, priorities, budget and resources, in line with the strategy and company orientation.
  • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of experts; support upskilling and performance through training, coaching and development of expertise.
  • Ensure proper allocation of activities, monitoring priorities, and achievement of service objectives; ensure safety of personnel during electrical tests.
  • Provide technical expertise on your team's domains across the product lifecycle: pre-sales, design, manufacturing and operation at customer sites; perform technical trade-offs considering performance, risk, quality, schedules, and costs; supervise technical reviews and protect company interests.
  • Manage development and industrialization programs related to your perimeter; contribute to continuous improvement of methods, standards, specifications and engineering practices; ensure up-to-date, available and high-quality technical documentation produced by your team.
  • Ensure adherence to standards and engineering best practices; foster cross-functional collaboration with production, procurement, quality and other engineering services; actively share knowledge within the department and with other teams worldwide; drive supplier qualification with Purchasing and Quality.

What We're Looking For

  • Engineering degree in electrical engineering, materials science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in electric motors, ideally high power, and their application environments.
  • Successful track record in leading technical activities or interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex technical problems in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Ability to arbitrate, decide and prioritize in a demanding industrial context.
  • Recognized leadership with the ability to unite, influence and mobilize teams around common goals.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, written and spoken.
  • Good mastery of standards and requirements applicable to rotating electrical machines.
