About the Role BIC World is seeking a dedicated leader to head the Zamak casting workshop at the Redon plant. The role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for steering production, quality, safety and equipment performance for the Zamak press molding process. You will manage a team of operators, setters and technicians and contribute to continuous improvement. What You'll Do
- Organize and supervise Zamak casting operations and ensure the production plan is met.
- Achieve productivity, quality and cost objectives; monitor workshop KPIs; optimize cycle times and machine yields.
- Define maintenance/works specifications and participate in supplier/vendor decisions.
- Lead and develop production teams, allocate tasks, manage priorities, and ensure safety and internal procedures compliance.
- Support recruitment and personnel evaluations.
- Oversee press and peripheral adjustments; participate in mold development and diagnose technical malfunctions; coordinate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality and methods teams; ensure parts conformity and implement corrective actions for rejects.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing approaches and ensure adherence to quality standards and control procedures.
- Ensure HSE rules are applied, identify process risks in melting/molding, and participate in safety and quality audits. What We're Looking For
- Technical degree (Engineer) in foundry, plastics processing, mechanical engineering or industrial production.
- First successful experience in workshop management.
- Knowledge of foundry presses and peripherals and/or high-pressure molding is a plus.
- Technical drawing reading skills.
- Knowledge of metallurgy and tooling.
- Proficiency with production tracking tools.
- Leadership and ability to unite a team.
- Organization and prioritization skills.
- Reactivity and decision-making ability.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Nice to Have
- Knowledge of foundry presses and peripherals and/or high-pressure molding is a plus.
