About the Role The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at Endeavor Health will deliver respiratory care to neonatal through geriatric patients as part of the Nights shift, collaborating with physicians and families in a hospital setting. The role focuses on safe, evidence-based therapy, documentation, and patient education to support positive outcomes. Shifts are nights, with some weekend/holiday requirements. What You'll Do
- Assist Physicians with Respiratory Therapy procedures as requested.
- Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians per hospital policy.
- Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment.
- Document treatment, equipment maintenance, quality control activities, and transcribe verbal or phone orders.
- Communicate with patient and family about the treatment being performed in a clear manner.
- Monitor patient physiological response to therapy, with special attention to pediatric and neonatal patients.
- Provide patient and staff education. What We're Looking For
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program as determined by CoARC.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry-eligible status.
- State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment.
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS within 24 months of employment.
- NRP within 24 months of employment.
- PALS within 24 months of employment. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $33.16 - $49.74 per hour.
