About the Role Respiratory Therapist - Nights at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. This is a full-time role for nights with sign-on bonus potential; you will provide respiratory therapy, assess and monitor patients, document and communicate treatment, and educate patients and staff.
What You'll Do
- Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians per hospital policy and procedures
- Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment
- Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities; transcribe verbal or phone orders from physicians
- Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
- Monitor patient physiological response to therapy, with special attention to pediatric and neonatal patients
- Provide patient and staff education
