Job title: Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II)
About the Role RCP II provides respiratory care services at Eisenhower Medical Center, including ventilator management and potential intubation assistance, as part of per diem staffing. This role supports patient care across age groups under physician supervision.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies; takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and reports suspected violations.
- Performs intubation of patients independently.
- Monitors and adjusts ventilator under the supervision of a physician.
- Administers nitric oxide therapy to patients in active labor under the supervision of a physician, if applicable.
- Promotes and provides safe and effective respiratory care to patients.
- Performs patient assessment and develops an appropriate plan of care according to hospital policy.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduate from an associate degree respiratory therapy program accredited by CAAHEP in collaboration with CoARC.
- Licensure/Certification: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the California Respiratory Care Board; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC; Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA upon hire.
- Experience: Preferred: Experience in an acute care facility.
- Ages of Patients: Neonate/Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities; effective communication with patients and healthcare staff; ability to document and process procedures; professional communication; ability to maintain and operate respiratory therapy equipment; time management; ability to work independently and as part of a team; age-appropriate care; problem-solving with respiratory modalities.

- Salary: $35.00 per hour (per diem).
