Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine as a Resource Manager at our Hyde Park location. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.

The Support Services Manager–Support Services is responsible for day-to-day running of the Support Services division that includes EVS, Patient Transportation (PT) & Food Services, in an efficient and effective manner through streamlined processes, information systems, and effective policies and procedures. Provides human resource management and daily operations support to Support Services with varied department activities and services as the primary point of contact.

Essential Job Functions

• Review, edit and approve timecards in Kronos for all support services divisions including EVS, PT and Food Services. Review and report missing time for employees. Serve as liaison/primary contact for time management.
• Track, record and maintain attendance records daily.
• Collect occurrences per UCMC Bi-Weekly attendance policy.
• Review and enter Time Entry Correction forms in Kronos for all divisions each pay period.
• Track, maintain and approve bereavement requests per union guidelines.
• Track and maintain Family Sick time throughout the year.
• VCS Administrator – manage, update, edit and assign system access.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma required; BA, associate degree, or college coursework preferred (business focus desirable).
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible support experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, HR systems, and reporting; Kronos preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills required.
• High level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems independently.
• Ability to handle diverse public interactions with tact and discretion.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Compensation & Benefits Overview

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
