About this opportunity:
The Researcher Standardization 6G PHY is responsible for developing concepts for Ericsson to contribute in the 3GPP RAN1 working group. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of technical specifications for the 6G RAN standard as be part of a team developing concepts and working with standardization delegates. The researcher plays a key role in shaping the future of mobile communication by collaborating with industry experts and stakeholders both internally and externally.
What you will do:
- Develop research concepts for Ericsson’s contributions to the 3GPP RAN1 working group.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical specifications for the 6G RAN standard.
- Work as part of a team developing concepts and collaborating with standardization delegates.
- Engage with industry experts and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Carry out computer simulations to support research and standardization activities.
- Develop new research concepts and work towards their acceptance by technical committees.
- Build expertise and become a technical authority within a sub-domain of the standardization area.
The skills you bring:
- PhD or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in evolving radio access technologies and standards.
- Deep knowledge of 5G NR physical layer and FEC.
- Understanding of 5G RAN products and deployments.
- Understanding of the 3GPP standardization process.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, able to clearly convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to carry out computer simulations.
- Strong collaborator in a global environment.
