About the Role Barbican Advisory is seeking a Researcher to join its Shanghai office. This is an entry-level role focused on gathering and analysing data using databases and advanced online research techniques, and assessing accuracy, reliability and relevance. You will work closely with project managers to produce high-quality written analysis for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Carry out intensive research and analysis of large data sets using databases and advanced online techniques
- Assess data for accuracy, reliability and relevance using sources such as media reporting, court filings, and company registers
- Work under the supervision of project managers to produce high-quality written analysis for clients
- Learn quickly in a fast-growing firm and collaborate with an experienced management team
What We're Looking For
- A university degree (graduates in humanities, politics, economics, journalism etc. welcomed)
- Fluency in English with extremely strong English writing skills
- Fluency in Chinese
- Curiosity and a critical mindset; ability to get to the bottom of complex issues and explain them to clients
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workload and work under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a multinational team, including with colleagues in other countries
