About the Role The Gross Lab at the University of Cincinnati is seeking to hire a full-time Research Technician to support a National Science Foundation-funded project investigating craniofacial and sensory evolution in Astyanax mexicanus. The role involves wet-lab research activities, training lab members, and maintaining the live fish colony and general lab upkeep. What You'll Do
- Facilitate research activities for an NSF-funded project investigating craniofacial and sensory evolution, in collaboration with the laboratory head.
- Train graduate and undergraduate students; perform experimentation.
- Maintain the live fish colony and perform general lab housekeeping duties. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree; four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
- Experience with fish husbandry, routine molecular techniques (nucleic acid extraction and cloning, PCR amplification), and dry lab techniques (bioinformatic analyses).
