About this role
About the Role The Research Scientist at Endeavor Health's Center for Psychiatric Genetics (CPG) leads genomics and imaging data analyses for federally funded projects and helps develop one’s own externally funded research as a Principal Investigator/Program Director. The role also offers collaboration with the University of Chicago School of Medicine to advance neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorder research using multi-omics approaches. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Evanston, IL. What You'll Do
- Lead as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on research projects, including monitoring budgets, designing experiments, and performing analyses for publication and presentation
- Provide bioinformatic and computational support for CPG programs and supervise Research Assistants, Post-docs, students, and other laboratory personnel
- Lead data analyses across different projects and participate in national/international scientific meetings as speaker/presenter
- Submit grant applications to internal and external sponsors and contribute manuscripts annually
- Collaborate with Endeavor Health and affiliated institutions to develop externally funded research What We're Looking For
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or M.D.), including those conferred outside the U.S.
- 2-5 years of post-doctoral or professional research experience
- Preferred: Bioinformatics/genomics background and skills; strong motivation to develop independent externally-funded research
- Ability to manage projects, supervise staff, and communicate findings for publication and grant proposals Nice to Have
- Experience leading multi-omics analyses and imaging data analyses

- Salary: $42.54 - $65.94 per hour (USD)
