About the Role At Geneva Foundation, the Research Physical Therapist will provide clinical support and data collection for study subjects, coordinating research activities and ensuring accurate data capture for a trial examining modified Brostrom repair with suture tape augmentation and photobiomodulation therapy. The role supports the study to understand outcomes and improve functional recovery for service members and civilians. What You'll Do

  • Administer physical therapy treatment programs for the research study, including planning, coordination, control, direction and evaluation of PT activities.
  • Plan and develop PT treatments, procedures, and programs; observe patient response and modify to accelerate recovery.
  • Record data in patient records; prepare progress reports and data deliverables; maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Determine staffing, facility, equipment, supplies, and continuing education requirements; ensure compliance with OSHA, GCP, and infection control.
  • Conduct data acquisition, biomechanical data reduction and analysis; develop clinical databases to enhance outcomes for military amputees.
  • Provide clinical support during perturbation testing in CAREN VR and Active-Step treadmill; advise on braces, prostheses and related devices.
  • Participate in hiring, training and supervising of other research personnel; collaborate with PI, site staff, Geneva Foundation, and sponsor.
  • Oversee subject recruitment and enrollment as needed; conduct visits and ensure timely data entry.
  • Prepare interim and final progress reports; contribute to publications and presentations.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of all research records and comply with study protocol. What We're Looking For
  • Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; current PT license.
  • 3-5 years’ PT experience, preferably in orthopedics; 3-5 years in nonprofit, research, or healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of IRB practices, human subject regulations.
  • Familiarity with instrument motion analysis; strong oral and written communication; detail-oriented and professional.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); willingness to troubleshoot computer issues.
  • Knowledge of Matlab, Cortex, Nexus, and/or Visual 3D preferred; knowledge of clinical/research techniques and basic statistics.
  • US citizenship and ability to pass a government background check; BLS certification.
  • Amputee care experience a plus. Nice to Have
  • Experience with amputee rehabilitation; experience in data analysis and publishing in scientific venues. Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: USD 85,000 – 95,000 per year.
