About this role
About the Role Exa is an applied AI lab building a search engine unlike the world has ever seen. We build massive-scale infrastructure to crawl the entire web, train state-of-the-art embedding models to process it, and design high-performance vector databases to retrieve over it. Generalist Research Engineers work across our search and retrieval stack: crawling, parsing, ML performance, and retrieval algorithms, with a focus on improving end-to-end search quality for customers. What You'll Do
- Work across crawling, parsing, ML performance, retrieval algorithms to improve end-to-end search endpoints for customers
- Design and ship a new parser that dramatically improves retrieval performance
- Improve throughput and latency of ML models
