About the Role The Geneva Foundation is supporting the USU 4DBio³ Center at Uniformed Services University. This posting seeks Research Associate levels I-III to conduct experimental work and contribute to a portfolio spanning manufacturing blood products and organoid/advanced in vitro model development. The role is based in Rockville, MD on-site, with potential for a faculty appointment at USUHS commensurate with experience. What You'll Do
- Execute research studies under the direction of the Principal Investigator or Research Scientist, manage study documentation, and prepare progress reports
- Interact with Principal Investigator, site personnel, and Geneva Foundation staff
- Procure supplies and equipment as authorized per research budget guidelines
- Assist with interim and annual reports
- Participate in regular team meetings
- Complete required research training and ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, OSHA, GLP, and infection control procedures
- Create and adhere to a data quality and quality assurance plan What We're Looking For
- For Research Associate I: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 1-3 years of laboratory research
- For Research Associate II: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 4-8 years of laboratory research
- For Research Associate III: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 8+ years of laboratory research
- Competence in oral and written communication
- Organized, detail-oriented, and professional demeanor
- Flexibility with changing priorities; strong diplomacy
- Computer skills including at least intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office Nice to Have
- Experience preferably in one or more of the following focus areas: Manufactured Blood Product Development or Organoid and Advanced In Vitro Model Development Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary range: USD 50,000 - 63,000 per year
