URGENT HIRING – RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State Salary: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000 Monthly (Slightly Negotiable) Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Research Assistant to gather, analyse, and interpret market, customer, competitor, and industry information to support business growth and informed decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct primary and secondary research on markets, customers, industries, and business opportunities.
Research trends in consumer finance, lending, SMEs, and financial services.
Gather, validate, and analyse data from reliable sources.
Conduct competitor and customer segment research.
Identify new markets, customer acquisition opportunities, and potential partnerships.
Analyse customer and market feedback to identify trends and opportunities.
Prepare research reports, presentations, and actionable recommendations.
Maintain accurate research databases and records.
Track relevant economic, regulatory, and industry developments.
Support periodic market and business intelligence reports.
Develop surveys and questionnaires when required.
Assist other departments with research and data requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, Social Sciences, or related field.
1–3 years’ experience in research, data analysis, market research, business intelligence, or related roles is an advantage.
Strong research, analytical, critical-thinking, and information-gathering skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong report-writing, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to verify information and identify reliable sources.
Knowledge of financial services, lending, SMEs, or consumer finance is an advantage.
Familiarity with research, data visualization, or statistical tools is an added advantage.
