Reporting Analyst – Business Intelligence & Automation

Job Description

The Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in translating data into clear, actionable insights for IT operations and service delivery teams. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide reporting solutions—including dashboards, KPI reports, SQL databases, Power Platform applications, and automated workflows—to empower decision-makers and drive business performance.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Design & Develop Reports & Dashboards – Build interactive, self-serve dashboards on Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools; create real-time KPI reporting for IT operations and service delivery.
SQL Database Management – Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.); write complex queries and stored procedures.
Power Platform Development – Build & maintain Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power Virtual Agents to automate processes and improve data accessibility.
Automation & Workflow Creation – Develop automated workflows to streamline data collection, ETL processes, and reporting cycles.
Data Governance & Quality – Establish data validation protocols, ensure data integrity, and troubleshoot data quality issues.
Stakeholder Collaboration – Work with IT Ops, Service Delivery, Finance, and Business Leaders to define reporting needs and provide actionable insights.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization – Monitor dashboard performance, implement optimizations, and document changes.
Continuous Improvement – Evaluate new BI tools and automation technologies; recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting roles.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with ServiceNow platform
SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar)
Power BI/Tableau/Looker
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents)
Azure Data Lake/Databricks or equivalent
Analytical Skills
Strong data modeling, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning.
Communication
Clear written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).
Knowledge of ITIL, DevOps, or service-management frameworks.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, R, PowerShell).
Certification in Microsoft Power Platform, Tableau, or similar.
