About the Role
The Report Developer plays a crucial role in developing and delivering tailored reports for Tyler clients. This role collaborates with clients to understand reporting needs and uses various tools to design, create, and implement custom reports that present data clearly and in an actionable way. A strong focus on data analysis ensures accuracy, reliability, and timeliness in support of client decision-making.
What You'll Do

Design, develop, document, and deliver custom reports of moderate complexity for Tyler clients using OLAP Cubes, Report Models, and transactional databases in MS Visual Studio.

Collaborate with Business Analysts and/or Software Engineers to incorporate new technologies when developing reports.

Work with Implementation to ensure client delivery dates are met.

Ensure integrity of all solutions through testing and adherence to company standards and procedures.

Publish all custom-developed reports to a shared document library.

Occasionally travel to client sites to discuss reporting requirements.

Work independently to manage workload and respond to changing deadlines.

Coordinate input from multiple business functions and stakeholders within Tyler Technologies.

Demonstrate effective communication with a wide range of clients, from technical to non-technical and from management to clerical.

Work with Tyler solutions that enable new businesses to safely build, open their doors, and stay in compliance.

Maintain ongoing collaboration with clients and internal teams throughout the development cycle.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or math, or comparable work experience.

A minimum of 2 years of previous experience.

Solid understanding of Tyler’s business and client needs.

Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling principles.

Strong project management skills.

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Business Intelligence.

Development Studio (BIDS) experience is strongly desired; experience with other BI tools (e.g., Cognos, MicroStrategy) is useful.

Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Excel Services.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Familiarity with OLAP cubes and reporting models.

Experience with Cognos or MicroStrategy (optional).

Compensation & Benefits
-
Salary will generally fall between $46,637 - $82,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
